About the founder
The creator of the platform is a medical doctor, psychiatrist and psychotherapist with more than 30 years of experience working with individuals, families and behavioural change.
He studied and trained in Germany within a professional community of senior psychoanalysts, some of whom belonged to the generation that had direct contact with Freud’s school. In his own work, he chose a practical, systemic approach and methods whose effectiveness is supported by real clinical practice.
This unique background shaped Mindemo: combining professional depth, a respectful attitude toward the family and modern technology to make psychological support accessible to a wide range of parents.
About Mindemo
Mindemo is an interactive guide for parents and caregivers. It is designed as a calm, reliable space where you can explore a difficult situation without pressure, judgment or guilt.
Mindemo is based on ideas from systemic family therapy, cognitive-behavioural approaches, emotional intelligence and nonviolent communication — presented in a clear, practical way you can apply right away.
How the content is created
Each scenario is built like a short session: first understanding what is happening, then offering a clear explanation, and finally suggesting concrete steps you can try in real life.
The materials are written to support the parent — not to evaluate or criticise. They draw on real clinical experience and decades of practical work.
- show the wider context — the whole family system, not “who is right”;
- support the parent in tense moments rather than amplifying self-criticism;
- offer small, realistic steps instead of abstract advice;
- respect everyday limits: tiredness, lack of time and limited emotional resources.
What Mindemo does not do
Mindemo does not provide diagnoses and does not replace work with a licensed clinician. It is not intended for crisis situations involving risk to life or safety.
If you or your child experience a sudden deterioration, thoughts of self-harm or risk of violence, please seek professional help and, if needed, contact emergency services in your country.
How to use Mindemo
Mindemo is not a test of how “perfect” you are as a parent. It is a safe space to reflect, try small changes and observe how they influence your family’s dynamics.
If a topic feels particularly sensitive or painful, this can be a good reason to discuss it with a human specialist. Mindemo can support you, but it is not meant to be your only source of help.
