About the Founder
The creator of the platform is a medical doctor, psychiatrist, and psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience working with individuals, families, and behavioral change.
He studied and worked in Germany with psychoanalysts of a generation that had witnessed Freud during his lifetime, some of whom knew and met him personally. Over the years of training and practice, he also worked with a wide range of therapeutic traditions.
In his work, he chose a practical, systemic approach and methods whose effectiveness is supported by real clinical practice. This unique experience became the foundation of Mindemo — a combination of professional depth, respect for the family, and modern technology that makes support accessible to a wide range of parents.
About the Mindemo Project
Mindemo is an interactive assistant for parents and adults who care for children. It is designed as a calm and reliable space where you can explore a difficult situation without pressure, urgency, or guilt.
Mindemo is based on ideas from systemic family therapy, elements of cognitive-behavioral approaches, emotional intelligence, and nonviolent communication — presented in a simple and practical form that can be used right away.
Principles behind the materials
Each scenario in Mindemo is structured as a clear exploration of a situation: first understanding what is happening, then considering possible reasons, and finally offering concrete steps that can be tried in real life.
The materials are designed to support parents rather than judge them. They are grounded in long-term clinical practice and real observations of family dynamics.
In Mindemo’s work, it is important to:
- to view the situation more broadly — as an interaction within the whole family, rather than a question of who is right;
- to support parents during moments of tension without increasing self-criticism;
- to suggest short, realistic steps instead of general advice;
- to take everyday limitations into account, such as fatigue, limited time, and available resources.
What Mindemo Does Not Do
Mindemo does not provide diagnoses and does not replace working with a live professional. It is not intended for crisis situations involving immediate risks to life or safety.
In cases of sudden deterioration, thoughts of self-harm, violence, or serious threats to well-being, it is important to seek professional help and, if necessary, contact emergency services in your country.
How to Use Mindemo Best
Mindemo is not a test of “good” or “correct” parenting, and it is not an evaluation of your actions. It is a space to calmly reflect on what is happening, try small changes, and notice how they affect family relationships.
If a topic brings up strong emotions or tension, this can be a good reason to discuss it with a live specialist. Mindemo can be a source of support, but it should not remain the only source of help.
If you notice a technical issue or find something in Mindemo unclear, you can let us know.
